Inking and dampening systems The 20-rollers inking system includes three large form rollers of varying diameters for superior ink distribution. Rilsan-covered riders and oscillators minimize emulsification and scavenger rollers pick up most of the paper dust that can cause hickeys. Both ink deed and dampening controls are stepless, making it easy to achieve the right balance quickly. The circulating dampening system maintains a constant water level and ensures continual mixing of the fountain solution and reduces the need for cleaning the fountain. Hard packing and bearer contact The design of bearer contact and hard packing makes perfect dot sharpness and no roller marks. Stream feeder adds to easy operation The stream feeder delivers sheets to the press quickly, continuously and automatically. Sheet detectors and slow-down tapes for improved registration Sheet detectors eliminate jams, doubles and bad sheets. A double sheet detector is followed by three detectors for clearance of late and out-of-square sheets at the head stops. Slow-down tapes reduce the speed of the sheet by 32% as it approaches the head stops.
